The single biggest cause of late, over-budget bathroom projects is poor coordination between trades. When the plumber doesn't talk to the tiler, and the tiler doesn't talk to the electrician, you get late starts, gaps in the schedule, and finger-pointing when something goes wrong. We employ our own plumbers, tilers, and electricians directly. There are no subcontractors. The same lead fitter is on site from strip-out to handover, and they're accountable for every detail.
"Fixed price" should mean fixed. We survey the bathroom in person, agree the specification with you in writing, and stand behind that price for the project. If we find genuine hidden problems during strip-out — rotten joists, asbestos, lead pipe runs — we explain what we've found, agree the fix with you, and get sign-off in writing before any extra work is invoiced. No surprises at the end.
Every project is signed off to UK Building Regulations: Part P for the electrics (BS 7671), Part F for ventilation, Part G for sanitation, Part H for drainage. Our electricians are NICEIC-registered and self-certify Part P work. We hand over a project pack on completion containing every certificate you need to evidence compliance — useful for resale, insurance claims, and peace of mind.

The difference between a five-year bathroom and a twenty-year bathroom isn't the suite — it's the substrate. Walls properly prepared with backer board or skim plaster, floors levelled to within 3mm flatness, wet zones tanked with a bonded membrane, tiles bedded in flexible adhesive, and silicone joints run consistently. Get the bones right and the visible finish lasts decades. Get them wrong and you'll see hairline cracks in the grout within two years and the silicone will start lifting within five.
We'd rather quote slightly higher and explain why than win the job on a price that doesn't include proper preparation. Most "bargain" bathroom quotes skimp on substrate work because it's invisible. Don't compare quotes on price alone — compare what's included.
